Kevin Fowler is truly an "Adobe Jedi". The Photoshop CS5 class was very informative and actually entertaining. I am looking forward to taking Level 2 next month.

I recently took Excel 2007 Level 2 at New Horizons under the instruction of Kevin Fowler. I have been using Excel 2007 for three years or so on my job but was taught many useful functions that I didn't know Excel could do. The instructor did a wonderful job of explaining the material and giving us hands-on experience. I recommened this class to anyone desiring more knowledge of Excel 2007 functions and capabilities.

New Horizons knows their stuff. They have a wonderful plan for instructor-led courses and the teachers are knowledgeable and accommodating. I would recommend their classes to anyone needing to become more familiar with any computer software.

I have taken Word Level 2 and Excel Level 1 at New Horizons. I found both classes to be jam-packed with helpful material. New Horizons works hard to make sure that the material they present will be applicable in real world job scenarios. I also found that the instructor for both classes was clear, thorough, and interesting. It wasn't hard to pay attention for the entirety of the class. Even after only one class each, I am now much more confident when it comes to using Word and Excel.

I was told that the web building class , Dreamweaver Basic & Advanced were 4 day sessions (combined). However, my employer targeted me to take both courses in 2 days. In my mind, I envisioned myself as being the ?grown?child left behind?. But, after a brief lesson plan overview, I was enticed to anticipate my learning journey by revving up my psyche to keep-up with the fast paced momentum embedded in the presentation. Once the lesson began, I noticed that the instructional leader was constantly on his feet, walking through the rows & aisles: teaching, talking, observing, monitoring & adjusting, paraphrasing, correcting errors, assisting the slower ones in keeping up, and redirecting our focus. Though the class is structured on a scaffolding/continuum basis, repetition & review - built into the curriculum - was the glue that committed the concepts to memory. I left the classroom feeling confident & competent.
I thought that it was going to be one of those classes that you would fall asleep in. It was the total opposite. I really enjoyed it and walked away knowing that i learned something. thank you.
I took the Excel 2010 Basic with Matt Smelcer as the instructor. The information was great, well-delivered, and fast-paced. Matt never failed to stop and answer questions or go to the student/computer to walk them thru the steps if they got lost. I was refreshed on many things that are available on 2007 that I'd forgotten but am excited to work with 2010. Matt removed any trepidation I may have had about the upgrade and I was encouraged to find out I know a lot more about Excel than I thought I did! High marks to New Horizons from start to finish! They are so easy to work with. My thanks to Anne, Justin and Matt. New Horizons knows what they're doing and so does their staff!
I took the Access Level 1 training again. This was a wonderful opportunity to really take what I learned last Fall (but did not have the time to use) and set up the database I need. New Horizons has it down pat! To allow people to take a class again under the Club Membership is so amazing! Mat is a great instructor! I enjoy his way of teaching. He knows the software in and out. I couldn't be more pleased!

I just completed the Basic course on Access. It was great. The teacher, Matt Smelcher, had the ability to hold our attention and "impersonate" various people here, including my boss. Then he gave us tips on how to deal with them. You will know what I mean if you take the class. He answered questions, and really knew the material. I think the fact that he comes from the business side makes a huge difference. I am looking forward to the ACCESS 2 and 3.

I took the Level 1 Excel class taught by Kevin Fowler and found it excellent. I had worked some in Excel, but never felt comfortable or confident. He created a very open environment for even the most basic questions and was sensitive to the needs of beginners. I also found that several things I learned in this Excel class could carry over to other applications (Word and PowerPoint) as well. That was a "plus". I also enjoyed being at the lovely facility.
I enjoyed the basic excel class and Kevin Fowler was an excellent instructor. The learning environment was very comfortable. With no prior excel experience I was able to follow along without any problems. I hope to be able to take an advanced excel class in the near future.
I took an instructor lead class it was just what I needed I was starting a new position at work and had very little experience in computers this new position was going to demand me knowing at the very least basic understanding in excel it was just what I needed I have taken what I learned and practiced with it and now feel very comfortable in working in excel. The facility was great the instructor was good the whole day was planned perfect from breaks to teaching I would recommend this to everyone that needs some help. Thanks

I have been taking mentor classes since August 2010 and just started taking Instructor lead classes; I am enjoy learning about all the Microsoft programs which I hope will help me get a job in Knoxville. The staff is great also and I wish I could continue to go to school here forever. That is how much I enjoy myself at New Horizons Computer Leaning Center.

I took an introductory course on Adobe Illustrator assigned by my employer. The material was a little basic for someone who has been working with this program for several years, and I probably would have been better served in a more advanced course. The teacher and learning environment however were top notch, and I would definitely recommend this for someone wanting to learn Adobe.

I have taken all three levels for Access 2007, and I have enjoyed all of them. The instructor, Matt Smelcer, did a very good job! The atmosphere was also very nice. It is easier to learn when you are comfortable. I learned alot!

I took an Excel class and Kevin Fowler was great. He was thorough and took the time to go over details. He was great. Class was fun and I wasn't bored at all. Great given the fact that most lecture classes tend to put one to sleep. Great Job Kevin!

Great instructor (Barry Mulkhraj) and terrific staff at New Horizons! I would recommend to anyone seeking IT related courses that cover a wide breadth of content.
From an HR representative: My company has been purchasing vouchers for our employees to attend classes at New Horizons for over a year now. Everyone has found them to be very beneficial, including myself. We are happy to continue our education with First Horizons.

I had a great experience at New Horizons. Class size was comfortable at about 10 of us in an Excel 2007 Intermediate class. There were 2 breaks in morning and afternoon in addition to a lunch break; I appreciated the time to check email and return voicemails. Instructor was clear and organized in his instruction.

Last week, I took a PDU course to maintain my PMP certification "Achieving Quality for Our Customers". The course was taught by Barry Mulkhraj, PMP. He is an outstanding instructor and I applaud New Horizons for continuing to offer Barry's courses. The folks at New Horizons do a great job with scheduling and the facility is excellent. I highly recommend New Horizons.
