i recently attended a level 2 excel class at new horizons learning center in knoxville, this is the second time i attended the center, i find it well informative and the teachers and staff there are very polite and helpful, all questions i asked where answered in a way that i understood, i will attend again to further my knowledge on excel and other classes, i would very much recommend the center to anyone wanting to learn.

having attended various courses at New Horizons, i was dissappointed at the last classes i have taken. It seemed the instructor was not really familar with the course and did not follow the manual given to us. Quite a bit of time was spent trying to understand why or why not something would or would not work. This is my first experience of this type and i can only hope it will improve. It seemed that the other people in my class were somewhat familiar with the subject (Access) but i was taking this course for the first time and the only thing i had to study was the book. But we were not following the book. i have taken other courses at New Horizons and am scheduled to take some additional ones. I can only hope i get more out of the future courses than i have from the last one i took.

I am extremely pleased with the results from my class with New Horizons. We created a personalized class to pick and choose from multiple lessons to best suit our needs. There was a miscommunication between the representative and I about what specifically we needed but the instructor quickly restructured the class to suit our needs. Overall they were very responsive and professional and the class was exactly what we needed.
I have attended quite a number of classes at New Horizons. I have found them to furnish all the material needed to become proficient in the course the student is taking. I did find that the instructors are knowledgable, but sometimes i find they are speaking more quickly that i could keep up, however, any time i stopped them and asked them to repeat what i had missed, i found them more than willing to go back and verify i was picking up everything. I found these courses to be professional, entertaining, and the learning environment more than exceptional
I have had a great experience here at New Horizon. I have found the staff to be extremely pleasant to work with. My advisor Gail Pappas has been extremely helpful, courteous and caring. Anne Millett is very helpful and maintains a very professional disposition. The teaching staff is excellent and are very patient in delivering their instructions to us; the students. Alex White in monitored learning does a fabulous job with the variety of subjects that are involved in the ML rooom on a daily basis. I seriously appreciate the environment and the level of care administered to me. Without hesitation, I would reccomend New Horizon to anyone seeking education relative to new computer technology. . I was somewhat disappointed with the Sharepoint Foundations Level 1 class. As a teacher myself, I am aware that I speak way too fast.. but this instructor left me in the dust. Many times the students were left hopelessly behind within seconds if they made one misclick with the mouse or their computer was slow to respond. Instructor was very knowledgeable with the material covered but often completely at a loss when questions were posed about content not in the script. For example.. we covered in detail how to check out a local copy of a document in Word to work on and edit. But when asked how do we check it back in and resync it... the instructor was at a total loss and guessed at the answer. This occurred on several occasions. I gained a good overview of what Sharepoint is and can do, but for my needs, a couple of 1 hour sessions with a coworker was much more educational and productive.

To date, I have attended four classes at New Horizons. A portion of the classes were instructor lead and a portion were mentored (video) classes. All of my experiences were outstanding. As a person with a hearing problem, the video classes were excellent. The videos were concise, interesting, and I came away feeling as if I had learned even more than in an instructor lead class where I might not hear everything accurately. With the instructor lead classes, the instructors were also excellent. If I have a need for additional computer learning, I will be attending New Horizons.

I just finished my first Adobe course in the "Design Club" series, and I am very pleased with the quality of instruction. I look forward to applying the skills that I've learned in Michelle Crowe's InDesign course. She took a complex piece of software and made it accessible and fun to use!

I have attended 2 courses at New Horizon. Both classes were very informative and taught well. Good instruction and computers on hand to walk you through step by step instruction on each task. Without the computer systems provided, large projection screen with instructor showing each step, it would be very difficult to learn. New Horizons makes it easy and very good instruction. Classrooms are very comfortable, plenty of space. Coffee and cookies are great! I recommend the training center for anyone looking to improve their computer skills.

I recently attended the Outlook 2010 class at New Horizons. I was an Outlook novice when I went into the class but came out feeling like a pro! My comfort level navigating this email system has risen 100%. Thank you, Michelle, for your patience! What a positive experience!
I have taken the Microsoft Office classes at New Horizons and always found them to be beneficial and some times life saving! They are courteous, the facilities are warm and welcoming and the teachers are very knowlegeable about their specific topics. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing a refresher or thinking of getting their certifications, and especially for those who are new to Microsoft Office and want to get a comprehensive introduction to using MS products. Forget a traditional college for MS...this is the best "deal" out there with quality maximum results.

The SharePoint Level 2 class was very helpful. The instructor was more than accomodating to go over individual questions and help out with specifics to our organization. I would recommend this class to a co-worker or friend.

I've had occasion to take several courses at New Horizons recently. The courses are consistently excellent and the staff is very friendly and accomodating. I highly recommend NH.
I have taken several classes at New Horizons Computer Learning Center. You were my first ever experience on the computer and I have grown through the years in knowledge and experience. However, every once in awhile, there is a class that is somewhat complex. Teaching something totally new and exciting. The problem is, we race through the class so quickly, take in such a massive amount of information, that very little is actually absorbed. Personally, I think such classes should be a two day minimum. The Excel 3 class was very enjoyable and Kevin Anderson was a stellar instructor. But I left feeling like perhaps I didn't get as much from the class as I could have, had we been able to explore the subject matter, actually work with the subject matter and experience the process (What if solutions, Goal Seek, etc.) Just my opinion. But definitely something I will take into consideration in future class offerings. Thanks!

I took a Word 2 class and left better prepared to use the program in my daily work environment! The teacher was great and made sure to give examples about how diffrent features could be used for my work! Will definately be taking more classes at New Horizon!!

Took the 2-day SharePoint intro class; the instructor knew her stuff inside out and presented it in an easily-understandable way for people who don't know much about SharePoint. She made sure everybody was on the same page before moving on, made no one feel anxious about not "getting it" right off the bat, and gave plenty of examples of the software's uses beyond itself that made one want to learn more. Exceptionally friendly staff, fresh-baked 2 o'clock cookies and a very neighborhood-social feel made the whole experience quite enjoyable.

New Horizons is great - very glad they offer classes and instructors are very knowledgeable.
New Horizons CLC is a great resource for maximizing efficiency in the workplace. Instead of just "getting by" I took Visio classes and learned amazing things that this software can do. Instructors are knowledgeable and the staff are welcoming and professional.

The instructor was very knowledgable, gave us alternate ways to view to lessons and provided examples other than what was in the book on how these techniques could be useful. I was wondering how we could learn about excel for 8 hours but they managed to find something we could learn and do and they made sure we were able to do it. Overall a very good experience.
I have utilized New Horizons Computer Learning Center's facilities many times over the past several years for Apple certification exams, CompTIA exams, EC-Council exams, PMI training, and Microsoft training. I will soon be taking a Cisco certification exam there. New Horizons Computer Learning Center is professional facility, with a friendly staff, and great resources. I would highly recommend them to anyone pursuing a career in the IT industry.
