James River Air Conditioning was established in the Richmond community and was built on an entrepreneurial spirit that provides world- class service with all the warmth, spirit and conviction of a locally owned and operated business. This philosophy has kept us growing since 1967. Our Residential Department specializes in home comfort systems. We service and install air conditioners, heat pumps, mini-splits, furnaces, boilers, humidifiers, dehumidifiers, and air cleaners. We service all makes and models of heat pumps, air conditioners, furnaces, boilers, and indoor air quality equipment.Our Commercial Department specializes in commercial comfort systems and building automation systems. Our team of technicians service and install air conditioners, heat pumps, boilers, chillers, VAV systems, cooling towers, duct systems, ventilation systems, economizers, humidifiers, dehumidifiers, and air cleaners.Both our residential and commercial service departments offer a variety of preventive maintenance plans, from basic maintenance to full coverage including repair parts and labor. We also offer electrical and plumbing services, including wiring, upgrades, water heaters, backflow preventers, and medical gas piping.Our Energy Solutions Group is exploring all practical energy strategies that will make more and more sense for our clients as they seek clean, renewable, safe power that reduces our dependence on foreign oil. We provide home energy audit services and offer practical green solutions including solar, geothermal, and insulation services.

Adam was diligent, courteous, and very knowledgable. We are so thankful for our new heating system and the quick, clean, efficient manner it was installed. It was such a cold day, but Adam and his crew worked very hard despite the elements. Thank you for sending such excellent professionals to represent your business.

Doug and Adam Mills and their team were experienced, courteous, diligent, and extremely knowledgable. They cheerfully worked so hard in freezing cold temperatures and even brought portable heaters for us while they were working. The sales rep, Josh, was also excellent! We are so pleased with the installation of our new systems! You made customers for life!
Appointment was scheduled for 8:30 to 11:30. He arrived precisely at 8:30. I explained the problem. He investigated and found the cause within 10 minutes. Then checked out rest of system to make sure there were no other issues. Extremely competent and professional.

James River Air Conditioning did a great job fixing my hvac unit. They were prompt and polite. Mike was very knowledgeable and thorough, and he took the time to answer all of my questions and provide honest recommendations. I will definitely use them again and highly recommend them.

My company has a service account with James River Air Conditioning and our representative is Pete Lembo. Pete is a professional in every way and goes out of his way to ensure that we are taken care of. He is friendly and efficient. Monthly PM's are always taken care of and any service calls are always handled quickly and fairly. I have had a business relationship with Pete for many years and have never had any issues. I would recommend James River Air with no reservations.
The team who installed my new heat pumps today were on time, very courteous, and professional. They had no problem with me watching their work and even helped me remove a large picture from the stairwell when they were finished. I would recommend this company anytime.

I use James River Air Conditioning because of their excellent customer service and they get the job right the first time. Very thorough in explaining what they are here for and then in giving recommendations of what you need to do if there is a problem that needs to be fixed. The technician Ralph H. that came to our house to preform regular maintenance was prompt, courteous and informative. I was very impressed with his professionalism and reliability. He advised about a problem, fixed it and advised me what he did. In our interaction, to date, with James River, they have been a business that has taken care of our concerns promptly.

Pete Lambo is the technician who comes to my building to perform PM and maintenance. He is an outstanding individual who I enjoy working with. He explains what he is doing and keeps me informed as he performs his job. He is proven to be very dependable and is there when he says he will be.
