General Info
A native Northern Nevadan, Dr. Meier was born and raised in Reno. He graduated from medical school with highest distinction from the University of Southern California at the top of his class. Dr. Meier completed his residency training at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary (MEEI) in the Harvard Combined Program in Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery. He then completed a Rhinology fellowship (endoscopic sinus and anterior skull base surgery) at Harvard Medical School and MEEI. In 2015 MEEI was rated as the #1 Otolaryngology (ENT) department in the country by U.S. News and World Report (USNEWS). Dr. Meier is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology. After completing his training, Dr. Meier returned to Reno to take over Dr. John Dooleys practice upon his retirement. Dr. Meier sees both adults and children with a wide range of ENT disorders. However, Dr. Meiers clinical focus is on the diagnosis and management (medical and surgical) of diseases of the nose and paranasal sinuses, especially chronic sinusitis. Dr. Meier is the only fellowship-trained Rhinologist in Northern Nevada and Northeastern California. This advanced training allows Dr. Meier to perform complex revision sinus surgeries, as well as to endoscopically manage disorders of the tear ducts, orbit and anterior skull base. His additional training enables him to perform minimally invasive endoscopic sinus surgery with a focus on mucosal preservation and quicker healing. Because of these techniques, Dr. Meier does not use nasal packing in the vast majority of his patients after nasal surgery. In addition, he has unique expertise in managing smell and taste disorders. Dr. Meier has lectured nationally and throughout the region on rhinologic topics. He has published over a dozen scientific papers, the majority on endoscopic sinus and skull base surgery.

Very courteous and professional -- feel I am fortunate to have him for my ENT doctor.
Very exceptional treatment for my sinus condition. Exceptionally satisfied.
Doctor Meier is amazing.. very educated and easy to talk to about the situation. Made everything go alot smoother then it would have. Will recommended him any chance i get.
I think Dr. Meier is very informative and caring. I get the impression that he is top notch in his field and really cares about his patients long-term health rather than just fixing today.
Great staff and doctors sinus surgery was not that bad I feel so much better
Dr. Meier explained exactly what needed to be done and gave me all of the options and explained pro's and con's for everything. He took the them to answer all of my questions and gave thorough answers. He was able to remove a massive obstruction that had formed around a BB that I was shot with 35 years ago. There were no complications after my surgery and Dr. Meier personally followed up with me several times after surgery to make sure I was OK. I would absolutely recommend him as a surgeon.
Dr. Meir is a skilled physician that listens to patients. He is respectful and considerate to patients and family.
I was skeptical when Dr. Meier ordered a sinus CT scan prior to seeing me. In retrospect, it was exactly the right thing, diagnosing polys and chronic sinusitis, with a nearly pain-free surgical remedy. He set proper expectations for surgery and recovery, and treatment has gone exactly as planned. 24 hours after surgery, I was essentially pain free and stopped taking pain meds. One week post-surgery, I am breathing and sleeping better than before the surgery. Thanks, Dr. Meier, for great care and follow-up.
Excellent care and evaluation. Out of the box thinking nailed the likely cause. Thank you Dr. Meier and Dr. Panelli.
Very good Dr Meier is very personable. I trust his judgement. I drive from Fresno CA where there are many ENT Doctors
I can't thank Dr Meir enough! Dr Meir was my second opinion doctor and I am so relieved I went to him! Great team at NV ENT!
Dr. Meier was very informative, telling me exactly what would happen during surgery and post-operative.
Dr Meier is wonderful, very gentle and kind.
I experienced a hearing loss in one ear, came to see Dr. Meirer and Richard the audiologist. They were both extremely professional, and took the time to listen to my symptoms. The follow up visit was efficient and helpful. Dr. Meier explained the treatment options and is helping me make a decision.
I had my first sinus surgery done over 25 years ago and swore that I would never go thru that again. I would breath thru my mouth if I ever needed it again. Over the past 10 years I thought I was getting really bad allergies. I was doing anything and everything to help my allergies. I was taking 2/3 allergy pills per day. My primary dr suggested that I go see an ENT dr. so I came and Dr. Meier's informed me that I needed the surgery. I had the surgery. Wow, I was amazed that I had no pain at all. I didn't take any pain pills after the surgery. I just finished my follow up visit and Dr. Meier's cleaned out everything. Felt a little pressure, but nothing compared to having the packing removed. I am sooooo happy that Dr. Meier's talked me into doing this surgery. After less then a week, I am breathing perfect out of my nose! Amazing!
Very pleased with the level of professionalism of Dr. Meier. The office staff was very nice and scheduled me appointments and surgery to meet my needs. I healed very quickly, and am pleased with the results. Would recommend highly.
Excellent! Very competent and pleasant. Very impressed with professionalism, knowledge and ability. Thorough and a good communicator.
Takes time to assess and explain options with the patient. Always a pleasure to visit.
