The Pond Home has it all! A highly skilled staff, with very big hearts, in a charming building that feels like home. My uncle is very happy there, and calls it "my place". The staff and the "cat in residence" have become part of his extended family. I have peace of mind, knowing that he is receiving excellent care in safe and comfortable setting. It is the perfect place for anyone needing respectful supervision and assitance.
When making my decision to move to Portland, OR, a big part of it was knowing that leaving my mom was going to be OK since she was a resident at the Pond Home. The staff is so caring. They treat her and all the residents as members of their exceptional family. Mom has been at the Pond Home for over 10 years and I thank God every day that we found them. The staff treats Mom with love and respect. They also keep me updated whenever any issues arise and are very accommodating when I call. They go out of their way to bring her the phone so we can talk since she can no longer get around on her own. I highly recommend the Pond Home to any family struggling with the tough decision of finding the right new home for a loved one who can no longer reside on their own.
Pond Home was, without a doubt, the needle in the haystack when we were looking for new residence for our Dad. After months of searching, we knew very shortly after seeing Pond and meeting with their unbelievable staff, that this would truly be his new home, and the great thing is, Dad began to call it "home" very shortly after he moved in. What a gift that was! Never a clinical atmosphere, but the knowledge that all of his needs would always be met. The staff at Pond Home treated Dad with the dignity and respect that he deserved, and treated us as extended family, especially when it came time for us to say goodbye. We were very lucky to have found them!
Employees are kind and caring. It is obvious a great deal of time is taken to pick the right people for the positions. They treat the elderly they care for as the individuals they are and do the best to meet their needs
