LEAD Certified, we are fully capable of doing lead removal in addition to our specialties which include masonry work, Residential/Commercial General Exterior Work, Interior Improvement Services and Handyman Services. Johansen General Contracting's humble origins started with its founder, John Johansen, who began working as a construction apprentice at the age of 16. By the age of 18, Mr. Johansen became a union carpenter and worked at the Newport Towers in Jersey City. His services involved building or repairing kitchen cabinets, trims, closets and doors.
