General Info
The Dance Project has proudly served this Community since 1984.. Students are welcomed into a warm and nurturing environment, which lends itself to a positive dance experience. When students feel relaxed, they are more focused, feel as if they are a part of a team, and therefore get more out of class. We are committed to providing you with a quality education at a reasonable price. This education includes teaching our students about dance vocabulary, dance history and dance icons. We create fun events to foster these aspects of learning. Events range from group trips to the City to take dance classes or see plays and performances, to Movienights at the studio, where dance videos and films are shown. We feel that dance is more than a list of steps. Dance is a lifestyle, one of poise and respect. Even at a young age, students learn about posture and carriage, and develop a sense of value and self confidence. Studies conclusively show that, for many reasons, children who dance earn better grades in school. The Dance Project offers classes in Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Pointe, Modern and Hip-Hop. We are able to offer the latest dance techniques because each teacher keeps current with the evolving dance world. Classes are age appropriate and designed by ability levels, from beginner to advanced. Our students range in age from 2 through adult. We believe that dance should be available to everyone. We work with families and never charge unnecessary or hidden fees. There are no contracts to sign. Giving back to the Community is important to us and enjoyable for the students. Over the years, we've performed at countless benefits, Girls Scout functions and street fairs, raised money for St. Mary's Hospital for Children and the American Lung Association and successfully implemented a program at The Margaret Tietz Nursing Home, just to name a few. There was never any costs involved, only rewarding experiences for all. These opportunities provide multiple performance experiences for our students, in positive settings. Competitions, on the other hand, are quite costly, biased, time consuming and, in this school's philosophy, so stressful as to pit classmate against classmate. This destroys all passion for dance and eventually burns out the dancer. Instead, we encourage our students to go on auditions, if they have the desire to, Make It . We'll even help them through the process. The Dance Project has developed an honorable and dependable reputation throughout these 26 years. Thank you for visiting this website. We appreciate your interest and look forward to providing you with the quality education students have come to expect, and you deserve.

Our family LOVES The Dance Project!!! This will be our daughters 6th year with The Dance Project. My two daughters love attending this dance school. Ms. Jean, the director and owner of The Dance Project, is WONDERFUL!!! All the teachers at The Dance Project are exceptional too. Ms. Jean is a loving, compassionate person and she LOVES all of her students as if they were her own kids. Ms. Jean and all of her teachers are very dedicated instructors. All the girls that go to this dance school are so nice, and they always have a lot fun during classes. I always look forward to the Big Show at the beginning of summer. Ms. Jean puts in such hard work and time when planning, organizing, and choreographing her Dance Shows!!! One year my husband was in the show. I loved watching him on stage. I love watching my girls on stage. They have so much fun performing that they're sad when it's all over. I keep raving to my friends about The Dance Project and 5 of my friends have joined thr

I am very happy with this Dance school! Its the only one that i know of that has a 2 year old program.. Location is very convienent and the teachers are great! We are very excited to be in the recital this year!!!! Grace R.
Excellent!! The recital was more of a broadway production and your child will perform not only in her dance segments but will have repeated smaller dance segments throughout the entire show. My child absolutely loves attending The Dance Project!
