Hubby had beef and I had the duck, both were very delicious. The kids menu I thought was good and our little one got two little bowls, one with noodles the other of veggies, and she got to eat with chopsticks.

This was a great spontaneous place to come after a very long hard work week. It felt like we were celebrating a special ocassion, but weren't. Would love to come back.

This is an excellent restaurant. I have been eating in this place for over 2 years. Never had any issue on food and service. Like it and love it.

We LOVED Butterfly! We come here on a Friday night and got seated at wrap-around booth table right next to the window with a view of the water... score. The service was absolutely wonderful.

The wine list was adequate and ordered a bottle of white to go along with the bottle of red that I brought. It was a pleasant surprise at the end of the evening to notice that they waived the corkage since we bought a bottle.

I had the duck breast and it was prepared perfectly. Our friends ordered the Kalua Pig Wraps and, again, it was delicious.

Sheri and I were so excited that we had such a great meal at Butterfly. Our friend, Marie, knows the chef, but unfortunately, he wasn't there that evening. Even so, everything, including the service, was excellent.

Had the burger and the steak salad. Both were very good and generous portions. Cocktails at night are a treat too. Service was outstanding.

Service: Our server was awesome. He also reminded me of Veronica Mars' dad, which made it more awesome. I dunno.

Banana Bread Pudding: This was the star of the meal, my favorite dish all night. It was just soooooooooooooo good I cannot do it justice describing it. It was moist, soft, and had the perfect mix of banana, ice cream, and cinnamon. It even came garnished with little pieces of bruleed bananas. It was cute!

Grilled Hanger Steak: This was really good and cooked perfectly. It was served with some sliced rice cake rolls, which had a nice panfried crispiness. I liked the asian fusion sauce they had going on this dish.

There are a lot of professionally trained singers who come here from the various music schools in the area, and you will be greatly entertained hearing them sing. Their selection of music is quite good too, but I do believe they need to add some newer tunes from 2007 onwards. Most of the songs range from 2006 back to the 1950s.

The crowd has definately improved over the past few years. It used to be full of middle-aged people, but in the past year, college-aged people have been flooding the bar. It is more crowded now than I can ever remember. It makes for a more lively atmosphere, but the one downside is that it takes longer to wait to sing. But it is a welcome change, IMO.

The food is very good! I have been here a few times and can't believe I haven't reviewed it yet. We went tonight and had a wonderful meal! The soup - I have hot and sour and my friend had egg drop - was terrific. Perfect portions. We had two wonderful dishes that we shared along with some great veggies on the side. It was really a very good meal!
