Savarino, Daniel S, DO
General Info
Brooklyn-born Dr. Daniel Savarino spent much of his childhood in Long Island playing baseball, running around the football field, rooting for his favorite teams and training in multiple martial arts disciplines. He graduated with distinction from Stony Brook University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology and continued his study of medicine at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Daniel Savarino completed his Family Practice Residency at North Shore University Hospital at Plainview, where he served as Chief Resident in 2007-2008. Dr. Savarino went on to be a physician in the Orthopedic Department at Nassau University Medical Center, one of the most active Level 1 trauma centers on Long Island. During his time there he worked in several orthopedic clinics, including trauma, pediatric, sports and total joint clinic. He was also a member of the trauma team. Dr. Savarino continued to pursue his love of the field by completing a Sports Medicine Fellowship at North Shore University Hospital at Plainview. During his fellowship he worked with 2 NCAA colleges and several local high schools, covering multiple sports from the sidelines and treating injured patients in the training room. He also covered many big events like the NYC Marathon, NYC Triathalon, Long Island Marathon and Golden Gloves Boxing. Before starting Apex Sports and Regenerative Medicine, Dr. Savarino worked in one of the busiest orthopedic and sports medicine practices in New York City. During that same time, he also had extensive training in Musculoskeletal Ultrasound and Ultrasound Guided Injections. In his time there he performed well over 10,000 procedures including Tenex, PRP, stem cells and many ultrasound guided injections, making him one of the most experienced practitioners in his specialty. Because Dr. Savarino performs procedures few other physicians in the country perform, people traveled from different parts of America and from different countries to be treated by him.

very detailed explains in detail your treatment
very positive explained and did exactly what he said.
I have been with Dr. Savarino for over five years now and he has been very successful in treating the OA of my knees.
have had several years' experience with Dr Savarino ` all good!
Dr. Savarino was very helpful in diagnosing and helping me with my pain. He is very informative and is getting me back in action quickly. I would HIGHLY recommend him.
We drive 1 hour each way to see Dr. Savarino. Several members of my family are patients of Dr. Savarino. He will only give you the treatment you need. Thankfully all of his treatments were highly effective and normal activity was resumed soon after. My family and I also like that there is consideration for your time and not having to wait long to see the doctor. Highly recommend Dr. Savarino.
Dr. Savarino has been my doctor for 8 years and i would not go to anyone else.
A different option from everything i have tried for 15 years. After the first couple sessions i felt a big difference in pain. After my 6th visit i was virtually pain free for the first time in a long time. After 5 months i had some pain again and two visits had me pain free again. Its been 3 plus months and my pain level is the lowest its been in 15 years.
I have been here a few times and Dr Savarino is always pleasant and professional. Both Dr.Savarino and his staff make the process painless and quick
friendly understanding and very gentle
Dr. Savarino takes the time to really hear all of my problems.
I never feel rushed and he makes sure I don't have any questions.
I would recommend Dr. Savarino to anyone in pain.
I came into the practice to meet Dr Savarino for a tear to the Labrum in my right shoulder after suffering with the pain of the injury for a long period of time. I am an active person who trains at the gym regularly, so this injury was stifling in many ways. Years prior I had experienced a severe injury to my lower back and had to go through a TLIF operation. From that experience I did not want to repeat being cut open again with surgery.
Apex was able to give me a great solution with a PRP treatment to my injury. With only 1 treatment my shoulder has healed in a major way! I was so relieved to not have to go through a time and financially draining surgery... Instead I had appointments with Dr Savarino to follow up the PRP treatment that were informative and handled with a high level of patient care. I would recommend this practice to anyone who doesn't want to jump on the operation table, and explore non surgical options - that yield real results!
great people skills excellent and fast service and superior knowledge. i strongly recommend all medical services be done here. Thank you!
extremely professional and caring. we are definitley willing to travel from staten island.
After 3 years of being in pain and seeing 4 Orthopedic physicians in NJ and NY all who recommended surgery, we found Dr Savarino. A painless procedure call Tenex was preformed in the office . I am completely out of pain and able to enjoy life without surgery.
Thank you Dr Savarino you're the best!
working to pain free almost there
Many years ago I had an M.D. who was the epitome of what doctors used to be;they knew you from head to toe, they knew your whole family, took you in quickly if there were an emergency there was no "go to the nearest.......blah,blah,blah,and spent an unheard of 45min. or more if necessary. Well I have good news. There is a specie of Doctor long thought extinct in Tinton Falls N.J. His name is Daniel Savarino and is alive and well, practicing those very same effects, thought lost to the calling of medicine. As was said in an old black and white movie' which title I can not remember the name; "That's my story M'am and I'm stickin' toit"!
He takes the time to really figure out what the root of the problem is. He explains in a way that I can understand what I did to injure my self, how we can fix it and most importantly how not to injure myself again. In Dr Savarino i trust.
I am a personal trainer and was experiencing shoulder pain with certain exercises for several months. I saw Dr Savarino, who ordered an MRI which showed a labral tear. He went over a lot of different treatment options and we started with physical therapy. When that didnt really help we discussed PRP injections and I decided to try it. After about a month I started to feel a little better and by 2 months I was back to full workouts without any pain. It has now been several months and I am still pain free. I highly recommend seeing Dr. Savarino.
