Delicious food and exceptional service! We had a wonderful experience!
Food was ok, no flavor. Sangria was terrible, it WAS ALL ORANGE JUICE. The waiter was nice, the service was good. Manger had a nasty look on her face all night and was arguing with staff the whole time we were here. WILL not go back.

I went to Vizcaya for dinner last nigth ! what a cute little restaurant ! its like being in Europe!! The menu its so extensive and trully authentic! We had a deal for 70 dollars with a bottle of Spanish Garnacha wine! One the best meals in the past months maybe years for 70 bucks.! profesinal waiters helpep us top create our tasting $70 . w e had Salmon ceviche for app, then Wild mushroom and truffle soup, a very nice Filet mignon with this incredible sauce and my huisband had a Filet of Sole with crab meat, and they also gave us a crema catalana for dessert, its like a cremebrulle but silkier. But the price its not the only amaizing thing to this joint , this food its just unbelivable !! Im so happy I found this place !!!

I've been to Vizcaya various times for lunch and dinner and have always greatly enjoyed the experience. The dishes are very tasty and creative. Felix Piedra, the chef, is one of the best chefs in Tampa. Vizcaya has a repertoire of very sophisticated as well as classic spanish/mediterranean dishes.
I've also worked with Felix and Vizcaya on catering events for my business. Needless to say, my guests loved the food and found it very tasty and unique.
We have a Spanish cuisine gem here in Tampa. Don't miss it.
I have visited the Vizcaya Restaurante & Tapas Bar on several occasions. Each visit I experienced the same courteous service and quality cuisine. I have met the owner and chef, Felix Piedra, and respect his passion for cooking and his rapport with the patrons. I do not make recommendations unless the product or service exceeds my expectations. I recommend the Vizcaya Restaurante & Tapas Bar to all my friends and family.

I have to say I didn't even know about this restaurant. It 's on a quiet little corner on Dale Mabry in old Carrollwood. I was taken there on a first date not too long ago and was so impressed with this place I've been numerous times since. The waiter was very knowledgeable about the food and were very accomodating. The tapas we ordered were amazing and the wine that the waiter reccomended was a great value. It's really fun to order a variety of tapas to share and gives you plenty to talk about on a first date or second or third. On subsequent visits, i've had the sangria--wow is that awesome. Lunch is also a great value!
This is my absolute favorite restaurant. My husband and I do not live in the area anymore, but when we did, we ate at Vizcaya all of the time. Now we go any chance we get when we are in town. The food is always amazing and I always leave there stuffed because I want to try everything. There is something for everyone there and the large selection of tapas gives you a chance to try different things. You must try Vizcaya and I promise you will be hooked!

I really enjoyed my experience there for lunch today. The server was very kind and gracious to me, especially since I got stood up by my date. He offered me a complimentary drink which was very kind of him. I had the special - veal with mushrooms in a delicious sauce with a side of asparagus and spanish rice. It came with a delicious white bean type soup. The food and service was wonderful - definitely worth the drive (even though I was stood up!)
Thanks so much, Joseph (my server)!

I am in love with this restaurant! I've been going there ever since it opened. It is so refreshing to have a non-chain restaurant in the Carrollwood area. The expansive menu is filled with the most interesting tapas and entrees. I love the scallops, the seafood salad, the grouper, the sweetbreads and I could go on and on and on.
Its definitely worth driving to Carrollwood if you want great quality ingredients made in creative and interesting ways!

The environment is quite nice. I was with a group of 10 friends. The waiter took our drink orders and told us he does not do separate checks. Then he ordered our food. We wanted apps and main courses. He told us it would come out of the kitchen as it was cooked. I got my main course before my app!! I wish I would have known that I was going to have to hunt down the waiter for a drink refill so I could have rationed it out!!! When the check came, 10 people had to figure out how much oney they owed and we paid various forms of payment. The waiter returned with our credit card slips and proceeded to tell us that tip wasn't included and we hadn't tipped him!!! The truth was he charged one of my friends $2.30 instead of $23.00 and the tips from the credit cards hadn't been added yet either. He never thanked us for not screwing him out of the $18. Very arrogant!! The food was delicious, service was terrible and I will never go back again.
Update: The owner of Vizcaya contacted a member from our group and apologized. The terrible waiter is no longer working there for obvious reasons. Knowing this, I would return and try again because the food was yummy!!!

The food was excellent. We tried about eight of the various tapas and all were delicious. Our server was very friendly and made excellent suggestions and was generally enjoyable. The sangria was very good. We were there on a Thurs night and I would like to have seen more people to up the amp of the atmospohere a bit - but I don't know what its like on a Friday or Sat.

This was our first visit to the Vizcaya. The salad, tapas, and Sangria were wonderful; however, the entree (Chilean Sea Bass) was served lukewarm and bordering on under cooked. I asked to have it warmed and it came back just slightly warmer (I felt a little more comfortable that it might have been thoroughly cooked).
The salad although good, was served on a black (contemporary) plate that reflected fingerprints all around the edges in the dim lighting...how romantic. (?)
I eat Chilean Sea Bass rarely (once a year tops) and am always so thrilled with this fish...Not this time!! There was nothing special about how this fish was dressed (consider a crusting,,,macademian/almonds??). The room temperature Sea Bass was a big white blob on my big white plate,,not appetizing.
My overall impression was that the Vizcaya typically does very nice Tapas and Sangria but lacks experience in the """"entree"""" side of the menu. If that is true, perhaps that is what you should limit the Valentine Menu to.
we came here for my birthday and just love everything about this restaurant !! The food and the service were superb!! We will recomend it to our friends and family. Can't wait to go back for the tapas and the Sangria !! By far the best ! We just got back from New York and please trust me this is the best trully Spanish restaurant that we have been to.Everybody was so nice to us !!
The best !!!!!

Always fresh and the chef everytime we go ,there is new stuff in the menu. Diferent sauces that are just delicious. Everybody is very nice and Chef Felix always comes to the table to say Hi ! he is always walking around the dining room greating people and making sure everything is just perfect. The waiters are very personal and always willing to help.
