We had a giant pine tree that tried its hardest to move into our basement. We had it taken down when we bought our house but didn't have any wall repair done. For years we had water coming in with even the smallest of storms. After meeting with Steve, we had the stump ground. Steve and his crew then came out and were miracle workers. They pulled out a truckload of roots, waterproofed the entire exterior of the basement, rerouted all the downspout runoff, regraded all the dirt and sealed every interior basement wall crack. We've had multiple monsoon storms since the repair work and I haven't seen so much as a spot of damp on the floor. Steve Cullen is your guy if you have basement issues!
I needed help in a pinch related to my house closing and Steve and his crew came through with flying colors! They were responsive, polite, and did all of this with a sense of humor. And, it was boiling Summer weather conditions to boot! I have no doubt he will back up his work if there are any issues, but that is for the new buyer to test. I will highly recommend Steve if anyone asks - he has changed my expectations for the next contractor for sure. Kudos!

Steve was a lifesaver! He was able to do what countless other contractors couldn't. His crew competently and efficiently installed a new drainage system in our basement that not only solved our flooding problem but also made our basement better able to handle future water issues. Steven Cullen and his crew are most impressive in every way. At reasonable cost they fixed several leaks that my basement has had for years, by digging and sealing both from the outside and the inside. Their work was on time, meticulous, and they did a number of unrelated things for me (fixed a few masonry and minor landscape problems) at no extra cost over the bid, which did not include that work. One of the best experiences I've ever had with a contractor (possibly the best) and myexperiences with contractors generally have been good..

We needed to upgrade a storm drain, to put an end to occasional flooding in the sub-surface floor level of our home. The new storm drain Steve installed was proved completely successful in the recent heavy downpour. This was the third attempt to build such a drain. Previously the large amount of water was underestimated, first by a geotechnical engineer (who only put in a surface swale), and then by Steve. After a failed first attempt, Steve came back and expanded the catch basin, substituting larger pipes, and they put in a raised tile border around the corner of the house to divert the flow into the new basin. We had no unpleasantness about revising and modifying the first design. No hassles about finishing at a fair final cost. The workmanship of the brick catch basin work looks very good, and the several large pipes do effectively divert the torrent to the street, Highly recommended!

Pipe & Stone was available to come out for a quote within a few days of my call; much quicker than other contractors. He installed new drainage from my window wells and downspouts, and did the work for half the amount the other contractor quoted. He even did a bit of regrading, put in an extra drain, and laid sod over the ground he had to dig up, none of which was part of his original work plan. It was fantastic work, done quickly and professionally.

Pipe & Stone fixed our basement leak by excavating the foundation walls, water proofing them and installing a French drain. Steve and his crew did a good job and the cost was reasonable. I'm satisfied.
Pipe & Stone are extremely knowledgeable and very reasonably priced. They exceeded our expectations in terms of addressing our water drainage issues and our yard looks in much better condition than a week earlier. Highly recommend.
We needed work around the house so our basement would not get flooded any longer. Pipe & Stone did an excellent and very professional work, with outstanding quality. Highly recommended!

I could not be more satisfied with the exterior foundation wall and drainage work that Steve and his crew performed for me. He is a standup guy -- honest, fair, and reliable. I chose his company primarily because of the good reviews. Based on my experience, you can believe them all. He is knowledgeable, communicated well, and delivered what he promised. If you are having foundation water leaks and drainage issues, I highly recommend Pipe & Stone.

Professional, fair price and clever work to solve our storm run off issues after our 50+ year old storm drains collapsed. I only wish I had called Steve first and skipped the run around from Nicholson Plumbing.

Hurricane Sandy left a host of emergency flood repairs in its wake so we called Pipe & Stone. We couldn't recommend Pipe and Stone more highly. Steve Cullen and his crew were here for more than a week - on time and working hard every day. We were provided with an accurate estimate of the repairs and the work was completed in sequence to minimize impact on the household. Steve was knowledgeable and his experience showed in the quality of the work. Crew members were courteous and professional in every way. The repairs necessitated digging up our formal garden to lay new pipe; when the job was done the landscaping was in better shape than when they was started. Climate change may bring more damaging weather patterns to our area; it's nice to know Pipe and Stone is here to help prevent trouble before it begins and provide repairs if necessary.
