I have only been there once recently, but I think the staff is great and they are really helpful and nice. It's a fun place to go and eat with friends, I will definitely be going back.

After reading all the awful reviews of this new restaurant I wanted to try it and see for myself. I totally agree with all the negative reviews. I will never go back as the service was unacceptable. Don't waste your money there.

Awful. was there on Feb 21st. Large party with kids. The kids food came out about 30 mins before the adults meals and they forgot one of the kids meals. Food was not that good and the kitchen was completely off. Kids french fries were burnt and most of them didn't eat there dinner because they didn't like it. I didn't think you could mess up chicken tenders and mozz sticks but they did. Our waiter told us that the manager was in the kitchen making the food. They didn't even offer to take anything off the check. It was definitely over priced. Will never go back there.

Been there twice only eaten 1 time. Hostessing is the worst we have ever seen. They could not figure out a wait if they had a clock and new pairs of glasses, they should be teaching better in high schools. Second went back with a large group and reservations, tried to fit table of 9 into a table set for 6 an hour late. Management does not care and other than the Sky vodka specials there is nothing special about this place. Findd a better way to spend your evenings.

Hate to write anything negative about a restaurant (it's a tuf business) Unfortunately, I was taken back by my experience & have to drop this note. The food was below par, the wait staff not in tune with their 'job' or what makes for a pleasant dining experience. We ordered a 4 dishes(crab cakes, dip, flat bread, Panini sandwich)-each dish was over salted, the crab cakes had too much mayonnaise (with a relish kick?), the Panini had items we had ASKED specifically not to include. The waiter had no clue what was in the dishes, so each question sent him out of the picture, where we waited up to 15 minutes for a return (it wasnt busy where we were seated). But the incident that pushed me to the dislike vote is, since there were a few plates on the table, everything was a bit crowded. A martini glass was knocked over, most of the drink was lost, the glass shattered. No help came over, no refill offered.Nothing worse than paying top dollar for food that isnt tasty & unexperienced staff.
Been there with co-workers for lunch and happy hour and we absolutely love it! Great atmosphere, very friendly staff and fantastic food! Ahi tuna appetizer is out of this world! I've been there four times since it opened and every time they have new drink specials and great looking giveaways on display. Grillestone has definitely become my new favorite spot to eat, drink and socialize. I'm so happy a place like this finally opened in the area...just what we needed!

Grille Stone is good for kids only. If you over 30's don't even think about it. They spent a lot of money in renovation and hire estupid people to work. Bad service and the food is below the average. Beautiful decor. Sorry, but I don't eat decoration.

went for late lunch. Waited 15 minutes before a waiter even asked for our drink order. Another 10 minutes before we got it. Entree was exactly the opposite of what I asked for, then we were made to feel bad when we said we didn't have time for them to make another. Glasses empty, but we were never asked if we wanted a refill. Manager was there, never came over to see what the problem was. Waiter made such a big deal about taking uneaten entree off the bill, isn't that what is supposed to happen when the wrong entree is served? Instead it seemed like he felt like we should be appreciative. Left hungry, never a good sign.

Ate there with a friend over the weekend and she became very very ill after eating the spinach salad with chicken..Wonder if anyone had the same reaction on 2/13? Also the bathroom was unclean and had an terrible odor as if someone vomit. Decor is great, but I am not sure about the food.

Horrendous!!...15 mins without menus, dirty glasses,no utensils or water..app.took 35 min at least..all while management sat a few tables in front of me eating...will never return although it is a beautiful building and I had high expectations!

I went to Grillestone on Saturday for the third time since the place opened. The food was great and the service was good. Unfortunately, the hostesses at the front acted more like the three stooges! Clueless!!! There were empty tables yet we had to wait over an hour to be seated at one of those empty tables-totally ridiculous. The hostesses were rude and were dressed unprofessionally. While waiting these hostesses were more interested in chatting with the waiters and other employees and never checked on us until we were seated. I don't know how the management allows this. I may just order takeout.

I have been to Grille Stone twice. The first time was shortly after the restaurant opened and the food was excellent but the service was a little off because they were so new. Although the service was a little slow everyone was super nice and on my second visit I found the service to be much improved and the food as delicious as ever.

aside from the primped-up dining room, there's nothing remarkable about this place. despairingly typical bar and grille menu, totally under-executed. things are generally over salted and oily. pizza is hardly "from scratch". service was young and amateurish. our server smirked dismissively at us during every exchange. the very young hostess was observed massaging a much older man at the bar. these examples aren't horribly offensive, but neither are professional by any standard. additionally, i overheard the same hostess make embarrassingly inappropriate comments about a table...right in front of them. inexcusable. for this, i would have fired her on the spot. it's time we jerseyans ask more of our dining establishments, and for them to ask more of themselves. food matters. service matters. fresh paint and flashy lighting isn't cutting it anymore, guys. step up your game.

I highly reccomend this very unique, and classy lounge and dining establishment. Have been there several times, only waited once, but any good place you will always have to wait.Food is fabulous, appetizers, great, and the homemade desearts second to none. All in all a great dining pleasure. Go and enjoy
Decided to got out after the blizzard and wanted to check out this new restaurant.....very disappointed!! We waited for half an hour for a table which was fine, little did we know that would have been our shortest wait! We waited for over an hour for our dinner and then when it came it was cold. Our waiter, Keith, was very gracious and attentive. The manager offered us complimentary dessert...are you kidding me??
The Grillstone Bar and Grill is a very welcomed addition to the Union County suburban area. For those of us who would like a NYC styled, relatively upscale, casual eatery and sports bar, I would say that the Grillstone is the best. The food is excellent, the staff is professional and courteous, and the prices are reasonable. Whenever our friends come into the area, you can bet that we will take them there for the wonderful libations and a relaxing atmosphere in New Jersey. Wow we are happy that they are here. It has been long overdue.

Great atmosphere, great food. New York downtown like spirit. Staff especially accommodating. Have recommended to everyone who likes dining out in a casual yet mildly upscale setting. Perfect for sports enthusiasts and singles.
