General Info
Dr. Chen attended Brigham Young University and received a degree in molecular biology. He then completed medical school at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California. Subsequent to a transitional internship in Portland, Oregon, Dr. Chen did his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Stanford University. After residency, Dr. Chen completed an interventional spine and pain fellowship through the Utah Center for Pain Management and Research in Provo, Utah. Dr. Chen founded Alta Pain Physicians in 2010.

Dr Chen has been treating me five years now for back pain, nerve pain down my leg, and knee pain. Dr Chen performs injections that help ease and make the pain tolerable. I am very grateful for Dr Chen, Shane Green, and their team!!

Dr. Chen is great! He takes the time with you and really listens to you. In the past I had injections in my back which I was really nervous about because I hate needles but he was awesome! I plan on doing it again I HIGHLY recommend him and Alta Pain Clinic.

I have been seeing Dr Chen for several years. Great visit with Dr. Chen. He came up with new options to treat pain that had been overlooked by other physicians probably due to my complex chronic pain conditions. It looks like there may be some light at the end of this tunnel now.
