Dawn Vernon is a board certified Adult Nurse Practitioner. She received her BSN in 1993 at Millikin University and MSN in 2006 from Northern Illinois University. She is an active member of Illinois Society for Advanced Practice Nursing. She is also an active member of American College of Gastroenterology, American Gastroenterological Association, American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and Associate member of the American College of Cardiology.

I am happy that she came in and took me seriously and ordered some tests right away so we could figure this out.
Went to provider for GI issue. She was extremely confident, intelligent, and went right to work. Spent maybe 2 minutes in total with me minus by explanation on my being here. Felt rushed but ultimately she felt like a knowledgeable doctor I can trust.
Dawn answered questions and explained things in layman's terms that I could understand. She was positive, funny and very helpful. Since I don't have a diagnosis yet, she was explaining why a colonoscopy would help figure out what these symptoms mean. I'm thankful she took the time to do that.

Dawn was professional, friendly and answered my questions thoroughly. I did not have to wait long for any staff member.
When I arrived, I was a bit anxious, but I'm leaving with comfort knowing what's next and understanding why. The rest of the staff was exceptionally friendly as well.
