Voted Best Day Care Center in Morris County by the Daily Record "Reader's Choice" 1997-2009. Our program follows the Child-Development Model. It is an activity program which takes place in several different areas, such as music, blocks, arts, science, large muscle, dramatic play, and the home area. The children learn by being actively involved in activities. The main objective of our program is to encourage and support the development of the individual, and to provide opportunities for self exploration and discovery. Since children are active and curious, it is our goal to provide learning experiences designed to stimulate the child's creative learning abilities. The overall development (cognitive, social, emotional, physical) of the child is considered and planned for through a variety of activities. It is our objective to learn the needs of the individuals in our program and to plan for the successful fulfillment of these needs. Positive development of the child's image of self is of prime importance in the program and is a priority in all aspects of program planning. Since pre-school has become almost a prerequisite to public school, we try to make the atmosphere one of warmth and love so that the experience our children have during the first years in school is a positive one.

I have sent all three of my children to Carousel over the last 12 years. The staff is part of our family - with so little turnover, most of the caregivers my first child had 12 years ago are still there for my youngest (who graduates in June). The pre-school program teaches letters, numbers, addresses, etc through fun, engaging activities. The art projects are so creative - we have received beautiful Mother's Day and Father's Day gifts. The school provides enrichment activities that the children love - Computer Tots, Stretch & Grow, Spanish Sailors and a storyteller. The kids have plenty of time to play outside on safe equipment and the school gives parents the opportunity to purchase nutritious hot lunches. The hours are convenient for working parents and doesn't close at all in the summer. We have recommended this school to others.
My son has been there since 10 weeks old, he is now almost two. He is learning so much there, sign language, colors, table manners, and sharing/getting along with others. The school is absolutely spotless, and he is kept very clean everyday. I looked very hard for a good daycare, and once I saw this place, I stopped looking-I knew it was the right choice. The owner is always around, and is very helpful with any childcare issues or questions I may have-being a first time Mom this has been extremely helpful to me.

Carousel is an amazing place! It truly has provided the comfortable learning and playing atmosphere that we all know our children deserve. Kayla has been there since she was 6 months old. If we could do it, we would keep her there until she was 18! I am amazed at how much she learns everyday, and how much fun she has! This outfit provides the perfect balance of structure and fun. I am amazed at some of the things that she has learned already. Things that I learned in 1st grade! She speaks better Spanish than I due to Spanish Sailors. She uses the home computer more than we do because of computer tots. And a new song it seems every week from Miss Barb! Thanks to all the staff. You will be forever appreciated by the Silvia family!

My son started Carousel at around 8 weeks old. It is a fantastic daycare. The owner and staff are caring, wonderful people. They are always interacting with the kids and are completely in tuned to their needs.

I have sent two children here for over six years. This is an excellent pre-school with teachers that really care. Several years ago they instituted a no-TV rule and whenever I come, even at the very end of the day the teachers are engaged with the kids and doing something fun and creative. My children NEVER said "I don't want to go to school today" and were sometimes upset if I came early! The same cannot be said for my current aftercare program through the public school. This is an excellent, privately owned non-chain facility with an owner who is often working directly with the kids and always accessible. I highly recommend this school to anyone who wants peace of mind when you can't be with your children
My 15 month old started with Carousel few months ago. I am very pleased with the place and the staff. One thing I have noticed in this day care and not seen in other places is that all the kids seems to be very happy and cheerful whenever I go there. That gives me a really good vibe about the place. Also love the cushioned play area that they have. This gives good opportunity for kids to be on their knees and practice walking/ crawling without getting hurt. Would recommend this to my friends and family
My ONLY child has been going to C.O.L since she was 12 weeks old. I checked out over 10 daycare centers within Morris County before selecting Carousel. The atmosphere is very nurturing and they pay attention to the individual needs as opposed to just adhering to a schedule...which I didn't see this in other facilities. My daughter has graduated from the infant room and the care and attention has not decreased because her skills are increasing (again, different from the others). Carousel's schedule is also second to none...they dont take weeks off during the year and although we had a crazy winter, when everyone else was closed, they were open(and my work never closes). When I drop her off in the morning, I feel like I am dropping her at her "Aunties" house with a lot of her little friends.

I highly recommend the Carousel of Learning. My son has been there for three years since he was six months old. The owner (on site) and staff are caring and experienced; there has been very little staff turnover. They provide excellent communication regarding my son's care at all times. The facility is safe, modern and clean. My son loves the outside playground and all the additional activities such as Spanish Sailors, ComputerTots, Stretch and Grow and much more. It's a good feeling having total faith in the care my son receives at The Carousel of Learning. Convenient location too! Paul, Boonton TWP
