He volunteered at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in the emergency room and pediatric unit throughout high school and while pursuing his undergraduate degree. He obtained an undergraduate Bachelor’s degree in Biology with a Minor in Biochemistry from Northwest Missouri State University.
