Dr. Herbert Abbott began practicing Podiatric Medicine with his father, a pioneer in the field, in Exton, PA in 1988. Dr. Abbott went on to create the AFP Surgery Center, and served as the sole owner and Medical Director.Dr. Abbott is Board-Certified in Podiatric Surgery & Medicine by the American Board of Multiple Specialties in Podiatry and a Fellow of The Academy of Ambulatory Foot and Ankle Surgery. He has lectured & hosted surgical workshops nationally & internationally, teaching the latest techniques in minimally invasive foot & ankle surgery.Despite this, Dr. Abbotts best attribute might be his bedside manner. Always there with a smile and a story, he has garnered countless testimonials over the years from patients whose expectations have been met, condition has been corrected and fears have been calmed. Dr Abbott is a skilled surgical podiatrist who has a ready smile, sensitive demeanor, and excellent "bed side manner" in explaining both a condition and if necessary - the surgical procedure. I have never had such fabulous care - including delivery of medication and "machinery" necessary for speedy recovery. Dr. Abbott also eschews opioid medication and prescribed an anti-inflammatory med that along with the cooling/massage "machine" - "got me on my feet" in record time. You cannot go wrong!
I've seen Dr. Abbott for multiple issues and I can honestly say he's the best doctor I've ever seen. Very clear, very thorough, and he really cares about his patients.
