The Little Elm Police Department is a full-service law enforcement agency that protects residents lives and their properties and safeguards individual rights and community values. It is structured into various divisions, such as patrol, crime prevention and support services. The Little Elm Police Department provides a range of outreach programs that includes Bicycle Rodeos, Citizen Fingerprinting, Eddie Eagle Gun Safety, Child Safety Seat Inspections and Simulated Impaired Driving Experience (S.I.D.N.E.). It has an animal control division that maintains a shelter that houses dogs, cats and similar small animals.
