Wonderful place to do business, they are honest, fair and friendly. Also where able to do a field trip with my 6 kids. We where able to walk around the whole facility, and watch the processing of materials. Vicki did a wonderful job and the crew was able to show us how the machines worked. Very educational and fun. Godin's has ripped me off for the last time. Went there today and they gave me tin prices for my prepared steel, so i lost $3.00 a pound and they refused to fix it. Just hurried me out the door..very bad service.
I am so sorry that you were not happy after your visit to our recycling facility. Everyone here takes GREAT pride in our customer service, honesty and integrity. We actually get several compliments a day reinforcing that fact :) As I am the one who handles ALL customer concerns, negative and positive, unfortunately, I do not recall an issue while you were here. If you did have an issue, I certainly wish you would have talked to me here, called on the phone, or sent me an e-mail with your concerns. To go and post a comment that makes it sound like that's what we do is "rip people off" is really uncalled for. In closing, you do not have your facts/math straight!! Tin was at .105/# (ten and 1/2 cent a pound or $210 a ton) and prepared was at .145/# or 290 a ton. To say that you "got ripped off" $3.00 a pound makes no sense. After looking at your other comments and based off of the confusion on price or bad math information, I chalk it up to a few bad days for you (no problem, we all get them). I accept your apology for posting incorrect information and look forward to seeing you back here in the future :)
Goldin Iron and Metal is a great place to recycle the people are friendly and service is great. I deal with the guys in the shop and they treat me fairly and dont cheat me out of things i have no idea about.Hats off to the guys in the shop they work hard and keep things moving along.

This is a pretty good company for recycling metal, but I won't be going back again. The office is not air conditioned and this time of year it can be miserable if you have to stay in there very long to be waited on. Why wouldn't they want their customers to be comfortable when they come in?

Goldins is very fair. as of today 10/08/2009 the cost for tin is at 0.045 a lbs aluminum is at .32 #1 copper un cleaned is 1.50 clean 3.00 #2 copper is .90 cleaned its 2.10 been going for a few days now and its very good anythin over 50.00 is written to you in a check form everything else is cash
I have been bringing in recyclable items here for the past 3 years now. Previously I would bring stuff in to a local recycler in Appleton, the greasy guys would grudgingly help you like they did not want your business. The few times I have had issues with the staff at Goldin's the boss took care of them very quickly!
