I found Bug Free after reading the reviews on superpages.com so I wanted to add my Five Star rating. They now come out twice each year to control our bee and wasp issues. John is extremely helpful, always willing to answer any questions we have, and always follows through. I know weather affects their ability to do their job, but I never have to follow up with him for an appt. He is prompt, courteous and in my opinion, the best pest control company in the Fort Wayne area!

I, too, would like to add my 5-star review to this long list of good reports! I found the Bug Free website while looking for another exterminator and was impressed with the solid recommendations here. I could go on and on, but in short, John Long answered my phone call immediately and was at our home within an hour for a free evaluation of our carpenter ant problem. Whereas we would normally get 2 or 3 estimates for something like this, we were so impressed with John's knowledge, professionalism and personality that we chose to have Bug Free treat our house immediately. Billy the technician arrived shortly, and the entire process was completed within 2 hours. You can believe all the good reviews on this site, and I heartily recommend Bug Free for your pest control needs!

We had a nest of yellow jackets right next to our hot tub and pool. They became agitated and aggressive and stung my wife four times. We called Bug Free and talked with John. He was very interested in our problem and very willing to take a look at the situation. He arrived about two hours after we first spoke. 8:00 on a Friday night. He and Billy were in clean professional uniforms, introduced themselves well and in general were very professional and friendly. They took care of our yellow jacket problem in short order and engaged in some good conversation and provided info on other potential pest problems to watch out for then they were on there way to their next stop. I will only call Bug Free in the future and not consider any other company!

I phoned them as I was not sure if I possibly had a bedbug problem. They came right over to inspect. Thankfully I did not have a problem. Would recommend this company to anyone.....very trustworthy and honest!!!! Theresa
I found Bug Free Pest Control on the Internet and after reading all the great reviews I had my husband call them.This was our first experience having to hire an exterminator. We had a problem with carpenter ants in our home. John came out and gave us a free inspection. I found him to be very courtesy and knowledgeable. He answered all our questions about the products that they use and we didn't feel like he was pushing us. He told us that he guaranteed his work and that if this application that he put down did not get rid of our ant problem that he would be back out to take care of it. My husband and I hired Bug Free to get rid of our ants. They did an awesome job. We have had no more problems with the ants. We would recommend this company to anyone. We also want to comment on the young man that was with John that day. Billy was also very nice and helpful and they both did a professional job. Thanks John for taking care of our ant problem! AWESOME company with AWESOME customer service and they are totally and completely honest. I will never go to another "bug guy" again! We thought we had bedbugs and called Bug Free out to our house. They did a thorough inspection and said we did not, but to let them know if we found any bugs (and catch them) and call them back. The next morning, I found a bug in my bed and kept it for them. They squeezed me in that day, after hours (because they knew how panicked I was), and came back out. Turns out it wasn't a bed bug, but they were honest and told me so when it would have been so easy for them to say, "Yup, it is a bedbug, let's treat for them" and take my money. I am extremely happy with their service and the time they spent talking to us and explaining thi. They also did a treatment for carpenter ants and made sure to explain everything to us and made us feel completely at ease. After calling everyone in the yellow pages before deciding who to use, I am not disappointed in my choice

We came home from vacation to a pantry full of ants. I called Bug Free the next day and they were able to come over that night. John treated for the ants and I haven't seen any since. I have used Bug Free in the past for pest control and I will never call anyone else. John and his crew are very professional and treat my home like their own. I trust Bug Free to get the job done the first time.

Worth waiting for! We called Bug Free, but the weather prevented John from coming out to our home. We were delayed by weather 4 times. Each time, John called us well in advance to let us know we needed to reschedule. He is always curtious. When he was able to come over, he took care of our pest problem quickly. We have called on Bug Free before, and we recommend them to all our friends and neighbors!

John, and Bug Free Pest Control, is great! He is very knowledgable and professional in his line of work. We have 3 cats and John insured us that any product he used was odor free and would not harm our animals. Everything turned out perfectly. I didn't see any bugs for a long time - but not it's that time of the year again to call John! Most people have an accountant or a personal trainer...but I have a Bug Guy! Thanks John!

Great service. We scheduled an early appt due to my work schedule. He was prompt and very professional. We had a flea problem on a new rental property. We have not seen one flea since Bug Free did the job. The 6 month guarantee that they provide was just icing on the cake. Highly recommended.

The owner of Bug Free Pest Control provided a professional, prompt, as promised and reasonably priced service. We had a Hornet's Nest to be removed hanging from a lower tree branch in our back yard. From the time we called until the job was done the owner proved to us that he CARES and TRULY provides a service with professionalism, safety, and with a true spirit of "How Can I Help You". I hired John to take care of a wasp problem that had gotten frighteningly out of hand. After I had tried killing hundreds of wasps inside my house and basement for DAYS, with all my family members suffering from stings, we finally gave John a call. He came out right away, was very polite and informative, and solved the problem with only only short visit. Yet he guaranteed me he would take as many trips it needed, for no extra cost. I was far beyond pleased with his work. THIS IS THE MAN TO GO TO!!!

I hired Bug Free to manage and hopefully end my bed bug infestation. I got them after staying in a hotel in Louisville, KY, and I thought like most projects, I would do the extermination myself. That did not work. If you discover you have bed bugs, you need to call a professional. And if you are in Fort Wayne, I would HIGHLY recommend Bug Free. I called the number on a Sunday evening, expecting to leave a VM but I actually got to talk to John the owner. You aren't just buying his services, but also his knowledge. He has been very thorough and has built my trust. I even provided a house key so he can come in for the monthly treatments. Bed bugs are a nightmare, but it's good to have a true professional at your side to get rid of them.

After calling several Pest Control Companies, I found "Bug Free Pest Control". Some of the larger companies just had an answer machine. But Bug free had a person answer the phone. His prices are lower and he was willing to make a call that same day. Our problem was Yellow Jackets. There was a pretty large nest in the soffit off the roof. He was at my house when he said he would be there. The treatment was done with the explanation that he would be back if this didn't take care of the problem. Well after a week the Yellow Jackets were still flying around. I called, and he came back and did another treatment. In just three more days the Yellow Jackets seem too be gone. I would recommend this company to anyone with any Pest problem. We are very happy with the results. My rating would be 5 stars! The owner, John is easy to deal with. Thanks John.... Dennis D. we had a problem with yellow jackets that had started coming into the house everyday. i called on a friday morning and really wanted someone to come after my husband got off work but figured that wouldn't happen. but when i called bug free (after seeing all of the wonderful reviews on superpages) i was greeted by the very nice and professional owner. i told him the situation and asked if there was any way he could come after 6pm that same day, and he was more than understanding and very willing to come after normal business hours (at no extra charge). we were very pleased when he arrived, his passion for his job showed tremendously and you could tell he knew what he was talking about. and to know that he was giving us a guarantee with his service put us to ease. we highly recommend this company and will always go to them for any future problems, which hopefully we don't run into.:-)
John Long came to my house after I called him in hysterics over an "undesireable" in my kitchen. He came to my house THAT SAME DAY I called him. He took care of the problem immediately. He was very very nice and personable. We will recommend him to ANYONE with a pest problem!!!! MG

We were working on a major landscaping project. We had called Bug Free to kill a nest we had uncovered. As we continued to work, we uncovered another nest. I called John at 7:00pm and he said he'd come over as soon as he could. At 8:00pm he arrived. We had uncovered a second large bumblebee nest. John donned his beekeeper suit, borrowed a shovel, and dug the hive out of the ground, and doused it with pestacide. We own him a debt of gratitude! We never thought he would come out that late, but he went above and beyond our expectations. The late hour didn't bother him. He was pleasant and professional. We highly recommend Bug Free Pest Control!!
I called Bug Free because of a spider, ant, and centipede problem. John was able to make it out the same day, and he returned 2 days later to apply the treatment. John is extremely professional, knowledgeable, and thoroughly explained the treatment options. John is a great guy and does great work. I highly recommend BUG FREE PEST CONTROL.
