Dexter Middle School is an educational institution that provides academic classes and extracurricular activities to more than 250 students in grades four through eight. The school has a library media center that provides books and reference resources to stimulate the student interest in reading, viewing and using information and ideas. It operates through various academic departments, such as science, computer skills, language arts, music, speech, math, social studies and physical education. Dexter Middle School has a team of guidance counselors that provides individual and group counseling services. In addition, the school offers a variety of athletic activities, including cross country, soccer, basketball, track and field, baseball and softball. Dexter Middle School is a part of Maine School Administrative District 46 and is located in Dexter, Maine.
