DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! Went there for a Transmition for my 1981 Chevy c10, I called to ask them if they could go ahead an pull the one out of the parts truck, they said "no, you have to be here for us to do that" I completely understood so then I asked how long it would take to remove the Transmition out of there parts truck, I was told "30 mins" I was happy with that but when I got there the customer service had changed from being helpful and friendly to they don't care about my needs, i then was told that it would take about 3-5 hours before they even got to it, I couldn't wait that long because my wife needed to go back to work. I then told him what I was told over the phone and he then yells like a 6 year old "NO, That was not said. you said you would be here in 30mins, it's going to be a few hours" I let him know I couldn't wait that long and all he said was "well goodbye" I said "****you too, I can find it cheaper somewhere else" shure enough I found one for $50 less. I will never return to this place, I bet the "good reviews" are produced by them, all the times I've been there they have treated me like I was intruding and as if I shouldn't be there. I finaly have had enough, last time i was there I bought a windshield fluid container for the same truck, was charged $25!!!!!! I can get a new one for that, they are scams and cheats. If you want to get bent over this is the best place.

Called and asked if they had a part I needed (door panel) told me he will check asked for my phone number? I gave it to him. Didnt expect a phone call back for 1 to 3 hours. And called me back in 5 minutes and told me he had it. $35.00 best price I can find.

Not only have I gone to Carter's Salvage for years to get parts for my 1997 Dodge Caravan, I have taught my 25 year old daughter well. She went to Carter Salvage to get tail lights for her Volvo 240 with over 200K miles on it, and will be going again when she gets in from Austin to look for body trim parts. My Caravan owes it's front right fender, right sliding door, right passenger door, alternator, wheels, brake rotors, and several tires to Carter's having good inventory and prices.

Horrible. Reading these other reviews, I must have gone to an entirely different " Carter's Wrecker and Salvage" in Plano. Each of the two staff members I encountered treated me like I was a total nuisance, you know, for "having the gall" to even be there in the first place. They must have a grove of money trees somewhere on the premises because they sure don't make any money from dealing with customers. I opened up a conversation on selling some mint condition oem ford parts that I couldn't use in my own vehicle and was told that I should throw them in "the dumpster" out back. Seriously?

My son who moved to Dallas several months ago, just called me. He said he went to Carter's to buy a taillight for his jeep. They had the right part at the right price, but that's not why he called. He said the men there were about my age, very friendly and helpful, and he said it's the first time since moving that he has felt anything like 'home'. Thanks, guys for making his day better.

He did seem like he had an attitude. Person is helpful and I'm sure would have assisted me better had he had the part, person did sound like he had a chip on his shoulder.

A very polite gentleman answered the phone call, and even though my particular car and model is not available, it was a nice customer service rendered experience.

Good selection of vehicles. I give it three stars because it seems as if the guy on duty is always in a bad mood.
