The academically gifted child shall certainly suffer by attending this school. The administration will assure the parent that they will "challenge your child" but many, many children have been withdrawn from this school because their children's EOG growth scores have significantly dropped. My child had a 9 point scale score drop in math alone, in one year. It is amazing what a disadvantage it puts students at when they are placed back into the public schools, and whereas they were once AIG or High Achievers they are now simply having to struggle to just keep up. Even though they try to screen applicants and pick and choose scores, which is illegal, parents after a couple of years realize that the administration has lied to them and they end up back in the public system. From experience they will promise you the world and never fulfill their obligation. Protect your gifted child from being, what one parent expressed it so eloquently, "my child has been taught to be below average"
