Located in Yukon, Okla., the Yukon Police Department is a law enforcement agency that promotes public safety, identifies and solves criminal cases and safeguards citizens rights. It conducts several educational programs and awareness seminars regarding crime prevention, Internet security, neighborhood watch and personal safety. The Yukon Police Department supports TRIAD, which is a community policing initiative between senior citizens, law enforcement officers and service providers. The department maintains a citizens police academy that provides services and organizes programs for crime prevention in association with residents. The Yukon Police Department operates a communication center that provides communication services to various local, state and federal agencies, as well as responds to emergency and nonemergency calls.
