      General Info
      Dr. Brandy Buckner is a true North Carolina native, born and raised in rural Davidson County. She attended East Carolina University, earning a bachelor of science in Chemistry and a minor in mathematics in 2005. While attending ECU, she was employed as an analytical chemist at Metrics, Inc. (a contract pharmaceutical company). She then attended the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill School of Dentistry, earning her Doctorate of Dental Surgery in May of 2010. After graduation, Dr. Buckner served in the National Health Scholars Corp (an organization that strives to provide medical and dental care to disadvantaged areas within the United States). She served the residents of Surry County, NC for over four years before deciding to open her own practice. Since graduating, Dr. Buckner has been very involved in organized dentistry and the education other dental professionals. She acted as the program director for the Blue Ridge Dental Society from 2012-2013; and then president from 2013-2014. In addition, she served on the NCDS 2nd District Executive Committee, the Committee for the New Dentist, and as a NCDS mentor. Dr. Buckner also participated as adjunctive faculty for the UNC School of Dentistry and Forsyth Technical Community College dental hygiene and dental assisting program. Dr. Buckner maintains active memberships in the American Dental Society, North Carolina Dental Society. Dr. Buckner is very excited to return to the Triangle area and share her passion for dentistry and helping others. Dr. Buckner is adept in treating patients of all ages. She is known for being compassionate, kind, and gentle. Patients find her relaxed personality to be warm and comforting. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, spending time with her family, and ECU athletics.
