On August 1, I brought my car (1999 Hyundai Elantra, 92,306 miles) in to Tuffy Auto Service Center of Yorkville IL. I knew what service had to be performed because I had a previous evaluation by another repair shop. I needed to replace the exhaust flex-pipe. The owner/operator Brandon Kribbs raised the car up and allowed myself and my son to look under the vehicle (a lot of places don't allow this important opportunity). He told me the least expensive way to fix the flex-pipe was to cut the bad one out and weld a replacement (previous shop wanted to replace the whole assembly). He also showed us the wear on the tires due to the original shocks being totally worn out. He gave me an estimate and clearly laid out all the costs. I agreed to all the repairs. The car was completed way earlier than expected and what I really appreciated is Brandon raised the car up again and showed me all the work performed, he even insisted on showing us the removed components he replaced! I am a skeptic

The manager and staff are always honest and offer cost savings suggestions. They are the best team I have had work on my cars. Truly Professional!!!!

I gotta tell you I am quite enthralled at the service and the fact that I was taken out in the shop and actually shown what was wrong with my car!!!! I thought all they did was oil changes but in fact i was totally wrong. Had I gone on my trip to Alabama without taking it to them for a simple oil change I would have never known that my car was not fit for a long trip , now that its fixed I'm on my way. Thank you Tuffy.

I really wish I could give this place a negative star rating. When you think of cheap mechanics who only want to take advantage of you, this place is them. My boyfriend took our car here for an oil change. They told him that he needed an appointment when there was no one else there. The service man told him to wait and they will see what they can do. Twenty minutes later, they came back and said they could do it. It took them over an hour to conduct the oil change (if you can call it that). They were all way too busy talking to do it. I then find out when my brother looked at the car that they only put in 2 qts of oil!!! My car needs 5! NEVER TAKE YOUR CAR HERE IF YOU CARE ABOUT IT!!!

I have used Tuffys in Yorkville a couple of times and have had great experiences both times. The first time they fixed my auto, it was at half the cost my old station charged and the second time, they couldn't find the problem and didn't charge me at all. My son-in-law also goes there and is quite happy with the service. They are very pleasant people and I would suggest using them to everyone.
