I highly recommend Dr. Del Vecchio. I had two visits with him at his office in Jefferson Valley. One for a consulation, and the other was for the actual procedure for the wisdom tooth extraction with sedation. I found Dr. Del Vecchio to be genuine, down-to-earth, warm, frank, communicative, professional and comforting. His manner helped minimize my anxiety throughout and put me at ease through something I had previously dreaded. (A tall order, as I was coming in as a new patient already anxious due to a previous extraction done by another surgeon years ago that had not gone well.) Dr. Del Vecchio treated me with care, respect and patience (not just another patient to be rushed through to get to the next one). It was a painless procedure throughout and my recovery time has been a fraction of what I had previously experience years ago. I will definitely be returning to Dr. Del Vecchio if ever I should need additional dental work in the future.I also found Dr. Del Vecchio's staff to be welcoming and helpful. The office itself is modern, warm and pristine. The equipment is up-to-date. They have a 3D imaging system which is non-claustrophobic (the machine rotates around your head while you sit upright on a comfortable chair - and it only takes 30 seconds of staying still!) The initial consultation room has large monitors showing you the incredible 3D images of your teeth, nerves and whole jaw. There is of course the well-lit procedure room and a small, curtained, dimly lit alcove/recovery room containing a comfortable semi-reclining seat. Once I was awakened from my procedure I was led to this alcove/room, draped with a warm blanket, to await the wearing-off of general anesthesia. To me, this little space was a bonus, as it provided for a really relaxing, warm, pleasant place to slowly acclimate back into the surroundings (especially after general anesthesia).Please note, I rarely post any reviews, unless I have had a very good experience. You will find I will be repeating this post to other forums because I firmly believe that when something is good you should share it. Hopefully, by sharing my experience, others might be spared the pain and the anxiety brought on by a bad experience like the one I had before finding Dr. Del Vecchio's office. Dr. Del Vecchio delivered on his promise: painless procedure and minimal discomfort. Hopefully, by posting this I don't end up making it harder for myself to get appointments in the future. :)
