- Kitchen RemodelingUnfortunately, these clients had a devastating fire that destroyed their kitchen. A fire restoration company was hired by their insurance company to remove debris and complete smoke remediation. A neighbor referred them to Red Oak to renovate their kitchen. Their original kitchen had custom cherry cabinetry and was due for a facelift. A small center island in the middle of the kitchen was oddly sized and the kitchen lacked sufficient cabinet storage space. The new layout plan included removing a wall and doorway opening. We added bar seating for three bar chairs which is used for informal dining. Additional perimeter cabinetry was added and we enlarged the size of the island which creates more workable space.

- Tile InstallationWe get a lot of requests to just convert a tub/shower to a stand-alone ceramic shower stall without changing the floor tile or vanity. This can be done but since the shower is the most complicated part of the bathroom (requiring, waterproofing, plumbing, ceramic tile work and plumbing fixtures) it typically costs between $10,000 and $13,000.

- PaintingAfter spending many years managing a local hardware store Paul decided to change gears and began working for a small decking company. Several years later in 1987 he ventured out on his own and started a remodeling company taking his own name, Paul Deller General Contracting. Back then Paul worked solo and his very first job was an exterior painting project. A lot has changed over the years. In 2003 the name of the company was changed to Red Oak Remodeling, the name blossomed from the passion of plants and trees, his wife’s first love. Quercus Rubra is the Latin name for a red oak tree. A beautiful tree that can reach to a height of up to 75’ with a spread of about 45’. It is a strong fast growing tree and it’s basically free of problems.

- MasonryBrick is a porous surface to begin with, which is why it’s important to keep it sealed. As it ages, the brick starts to disintegrate, allowing more moisture inside the material. Eventually, the mortar gives way but most often it’s the brick that most often starts the mortar damage. You can also have problems with newer brick mortar if the masonry wasn’t done right.
