HIGH PRICES FOR WHAT YOU GET,MEDIOCRE to say the least.

Lunch at Applebees today was filled with mixed emotions.

After days of being sick, I was finally able to go out to eat. My friend suggested Applebees, which I haven't been to one in about six years. So, we are seated, older waitress proceeds to flirt up my friend (male) and tells us the specials. She was kind enough to point out what had "proteins" what was better. I ordered a salad, and chicken, corn chowder, and a regular Pepsi. Our appt. were brought to us, "potato chips" and dip. After a bit, our meals were brought to us, I was impressed, until I had a spoonful of the chicken corn chowder, it was sour, and horrible. My friend took a taste, and confrimed, it was spoiled. Waitress came, apologized, offered me another soup, (declined) or salad. (declined as well) Manager did come over to table, apologized, took the meal off, and said that soup was spoiled, even though the "exp. date on can said it was good." Thought the soup was homemade, since older waitress raved about how the chips were "freshly made today." Check was delivered, and our waitress Bobo didn't look very happy when I took the check, all the attention towards my friend, and he didn't pay.

So I will not be going to any Applebees in the future.

I love this restaurant! Great service, great food, good prices! On Mondays, they even have deals on all of their steaks!
