Emerson Middle School is a public coeducational school providing education to students in grades six to eight. The school offers courses in various subjects, such as math, history, English, language arts and science. It additionally offers various athletic programs and athletic activities. It also offers libraries with Internet access and guidance services. The school provides information on design technology and global science academies. The technology academy offers courses in multimedia programming, word processing, database management, spreadsheets, graphics and Internet use. Its math, science and technology laboratories support audiovisual communication, graphic designing, aerodynamics, car and plane designing, plastic and laser technology, and bridge and motor building. The earth science academy offers courses in various subjects, including geology, archaeology, marine biology and astronomy. Emerson Middle School is a part of the Yonkers Public Schools District and is located in Yonkers, N.Y.
