The Adobe Resort is an independently owned full service resort located right on the edge of the Pacific Ocean, just one mile north of the small coastal town of Yachats. Nearly all of the 110 rooms on our property feature a spectacular ocean view, electric fireplace, mini refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. We have an indoor fitness center comprised of a lap pool, whirlpool, hot tub, sauna and fully equipped exercise facility. Our on premise restaurant and lounge offers dining on the ocean's edge with a variety of coastal and American cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There are many activities available in the surrounding areas including whale watching, charter boats, sand dune rides and hiking trails. Simply-Don't stay here! We were traveling up the Oregon coast and stopped without reservations. They accomodated us with a room for two nights. When I opened the door to the room there was a man using the restroom. He had been rented the room about an hour earlier. Went back to the front desk and was assigned another room. It was empty so my wife and I relaxed reading and enjoying the ocean view. About an hour later a woman was knocking on the door claiming she and her husband were rented the room we w earlier that afternoon. When we checked in we were quoted one room rate but when we checked out they charged a significantly higher rate. They also charged someone elses restaurant charges to our room. We were told the room would be no charge due to their many errors but so far the charges are still on my credit card. The rooms are old & dated. The restaurant food smelled awful from the hallway so we never ate there even though we were offered a complimentary breakfast.

This will be our third year at the Adobe. We come every year in mid September to celebrate my 2nd sons life. The Adobe was his favorite place to bring his children for their summer vacation. He passed on September 18, 2005. The Adobe is so quiet, comforting and personal. Everthing is at your fingertips. Restaurant, pool, etc. Love being there. Staff is friendly, courteous and helpful.
