R. V. Groves Elementary School, opened in 2002, was named after R.V. Groves, who was a Citizen of Wylie. It provides transportation, health care, meals and counseling services to the students. The school offers educational and enrichment programs to students in prekindergarten through fourth grade. R. V. Groves Elementary School is a part of the Wylie Independent School District, which teaches nearly 9,900 students in over 15 schools. It maintains a parent-teacher association that includes the school staff, parents and community and works together to sponsor a variety of activities, such as school events, dance competitions and field trips. R. V. Groves Elementary School has an annual enrollment of more than 600 students and is located in Wylie, Texas.
