Established in 1997, Spectrum Health is one of the leading nonprofit health systems in the United States. It offers a range of medical services, including bariatric, joint replacement, and cardiac and cancer care. The health system maintains a staff of more than 1,500 medical professionals who provide emergency medicine, trauma and urgent care services. Its Aero Med department provides emergency care and helicopter transport services from the scene of accidents and from community hospitals to Spectrum Health's tertiary care hospitals. The health system s laboratory services include breast cancer screening, computed tomography, interventional radiology and MRI. Spectrum Health operates several hospitals, such as Blodgett Hospital, Kent Community Campus and Reed City Hospital.
