Alexis Grace offers a truly amazing shopping experience-from the warm reception from the owner, to the lovingly displayed clothing (vintage clothing was fun to paruse), funky jewelry and coach bags-all at thoughtful prices...who could ask for more???? Before Alexis Grace opened I remember driving down Harrison street and dreaming about opening my own store in that very space. Tin ceilings and original hardwoods are very rare in the retail world. Knowing how much potential that store front had I was almost nervous going in their the first time. However the owners did not disappoint, the store has a beautiful layout and it was filled with quality clothing and even some handmade and vintage items. I've been consigning for years and this has been the only place that i have felt that wasn't out to rip me off. They never loose my items and everything is always sold quickly.

I am the "uppity" owner of Alexis Grace Consignment and I felt I had to respond to the first review. I know EXACTLY who this reviewer is. She is telling the truth. I did ask her to come into the store before I booked her an appointment. I implemented this policy because people were bringing me the craziest things: diapers, shredders, dog clothes, wrinkled, smoky, stained clothes thrown into trash bags. You get the picture. I get 10-15 calls or emails a DAY from people wanting to consign. I cannot take all of them. I have to be selective, my customers demand and deserve that. I also feel strongly that if you want to consign with us, you should get to know our store and what we are about. I have over 200 wonderful consignors who have no problem with this policy. This reviewer was rude on the phone and ruder when she came in the store. She insulted me AFTER I made her an appointment. I do not care if she has the Hope Diamond, I do not want or need her negativity in my store.

i have been around the antiques and vintage world for five decades and this is one of the best shoppes i have ever been in. the co-owners are lovely gals who welcomed as if i were an old friend and not just someone who might spend a buck or two! all items were in excellent condition, a fantastic value for the money, high end items such as coach and dooney & bourke are the real deal at super prices that are affordable to all. i totally disagree with the review above. it was obviously written by a woman who is all "pinched up" and needs a man in here life. to "calm her down" if you catch my drift!! if she had any item that was decent the smart girls running the shop would have jumped on them......her items must have been meant for the salvation army or goodwill and not at all appropriate for a high end consignment shop.

The real reason that a consigner must size up the shop is so that the owner can size up the consigner!! Then, she sets an appointment but later calls back to say "it isn't going to work out with us".
