Holy Cross College & WPI NESA/Department of Defense on "The effectiveness of acupuncture for Gulf War Illness (GWI)".Program Since the early 1990s, Kathleen has been recognized as an expert in integrative medicine, acupuncture and herbal medicine. She graduated from the New England School of Acupuncture, becoming one of the first graduates of the Masters program of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Her distinguished career and leadership in complementary medicine are evident - she has served consecutive terms as the President of the Massachusetts Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine; consulted and contracted with University of Massachusetts Memorial Complementary Medicine Program, Health Alliance Hospital's Simond-Hurd Complementary Care Center ,AIDS Project Worcester, Visiting Nurse Association of Central Massachusetts, Great Brook Valley Health Care, Fallon Clinic; an active member of St Vincent’s Hospital Allied Health Profession Committee, UMass Medical Schools Complementary and Alternative Medicine Academic Interest Group She also organized and chaired the Eastern Regional Conference for American Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. In 1994, elected Acupuncturist of the Year by the American Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Kathy regularly lectures and offers programs to organizations and business groups. She is a published writer on the subject of complementary medicine."She is also called upon as a resource for the broadcast media and has appeared on WCVB 5 with Susan Wornick's Consumer Report and various local cable channels.
