Certified Angus Beef Program was founded in 1978 and is a beef producer, packer and distributor. It functions as a nonprofit division of the American Angus Association. The association includes more than 35,000 cattle breeders. Its products include a full line of fresh cuts, convenience items and deli meats. Certified Angus Beef Program provides Heat-and-Serve entr es, home-style and take-home meals for consumers and chefs. Its convenience items include corned beef, pastrami, roast beef, pot roast, prime rib, cooked salami and beef sticks. The company also produces summer sausage, frankfurters, smoked sausage, beef bologna, beef knockwurst, fully cooked meatloaf and frozen burger patties.
