I brought in 4 baby girl dresses to be cleaned, one of which was brand new and the item in question. I picked it up the next day and happened to check the dresses and noticed a long pen mark on the brand new white dress. The dress has small blue flowers spaced far apart with a random and subtle pattern. I took it back immediately, within 5 minutes, and was very disappointed with how the owner handled the situation. I understand that people make mistakes, however when I pointed out the pen mark, the owner did not take responsibility. In fact, she gave me these far-fetched ideas of how the pen mark got there in the first place: 1. It's ink from the BLUE flowers on the dress (in the shape of a BLACK ink mark). 2. They don't use pens (I guess the one she handed me to sign the receipt with was imaginary). 3. I did it (if I had, then taking it to the dry cleaners would have removed the mark, right?). I wasn't going to quibble over the $4 nor the outrageous reasons the owner was giving me.
