Lawrence Woodmere Academy is an independent, coeducational college preparatory school located in Woodmere, N.Y. The school enrolls more than 300 students in prekindergarten through 12th grade. The school has several departments, including arts, college guidance, computer, development, economics and special learning departments. Its academic curriculum also includes English, foreign language, history, mathematics, science, social studies and physical education. Lawrence Woodmere Academy comprises lower, middle and upper schools. The school s athletics department offers sports teams in basketball, softball, tennis, soccer, volleyball and golf. It offers extracurricular activities including music, band and chorus. The school s outdoor education program provides opportunities for students to take overnight trips to environmental camps. Lawrence Woodmere Academy is accredited by the New York State Association of Independent Schools and New York State Board of Regents.
