The specialty of Pulmonary/Critical Care involves the care of adult patients in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. Pulmonology focuses on diseases of respiration and include such diverse entities as Asthma, COPD, Lung Cancer, and Pulmonary Fibrosis and procedures including Bronchoscopy. Critical Care focuses on the systematic care of patients in the Intensive Care Unit to maximize their return to wellness, and when that is not possible, providing comprehensive end of life care to patients and their families.
