Walt Whitman Elementary School provides a range of academic curriculum in grades one through five. The school offers classes in Mathematics, music, physical education, science, foreign languages and music. Its language arts department offers classes in writing, reading, proofreading and editing. The school s sports programs include soccer, volleyball tennis, swimming, baseball and softball. The art department of the school offers classes in painting, drawing and craft making. It has a media center that offers curriculum guides, newspapers and fiction. Walt Whitman Elementary School also offers food services to students. The school is a part of the Syosset Central School District and is located in Woodbury, N.Y.
