- NeurologyEMG/NCV is performed at several of our offices at Orlin & Cohen. All testing is personally performed by Imran Wahedna, M.D., who is a fellowship-trained and triple board certified (neurology, neuromuscular medicine and electrodiagnostic medicine) neurologist/neurophysiologist. He also holds fellowship titles with the American College of Physicians (FACP) and the American Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine (FAANEM). He has been in practice and teaching for 20 years and has performed more than 17,000 studies. Therefore, the quality of the EMG/NCV studies done at our offices is of the highest standard and holds their relevance in referrals to other physicians.
- Carpal Tunnel SyndromeCarpal tunnel syndrome is a common problem that affects the hand and fingers. Bennett Brown, M.D., of the Hand Center at Orlin & Cohen discusses the syndrome's symptoms and treatments.
- UltrasoundAt Orlin & Cohen, we use our in-house ultrasound technology to obtain images of soft tissues (ligaments, tendons, muscles and bursae), permanently record the images and analyze the results. We also use ultrasound for needle guidance, making injections into joints and other areas for pain management more accurate and successful, even in the most difficult areas.
- MRIOrlin & Cohen, Long Island’s premier orthopedic group, now offers immediate after-hours and weekend care. - RadiologyClearly superior to many other techniques, MRI has proven invaluable for diagnosing many joint, spine, neck and musculoskeletal disorders, enabling doctors to see some body structures that may not be visible by other methods. Orlin & Cohen has American College of Radiology-accredited MRI imaging facilities with the latest technology, including...
- X-Rays
- Computed TomographyOrlin & Cohen has state-of-the-art CT scanner technology to provide a more detailed image of your bones, blood vessels and soft tissue than an X-ray alone. A CT scan enables the specialists at Orlin & Cohen to study the inner workings of your body to help speed diagnosis, assist with procedures or surgery, or confirm the success of a recent procedure or surgery. CT scans are painless, and with the newer machines, the scans only take 20 minutes.
- OrthopedicsLooking for a job in orthopedics? Orlin & Cohen has outstanding career opportunities for professionals who share our commitment to providing superior patient care. - SciaticaEMG/NCV testing is used to diagnose disorders of the nerves and muscles, testing for neuropathies, carpel tunnel syndrome, sciatica, neck and spine conditions. It is a function test for the nerves and muscles, and complements the clinical exam as well as imaging studies, e.g. MRI.

- ArthroscopyYour subspecialist begins by evaluating your condition using our in-house diagnostic testing along with an examination. Many conditions respond to rest, cold or heat, medications, and physical therapy. If surgery is necessary, rest assured that we use the most modern minimally invasive techniques, from an arthroscopy for a problem inside the joint to open surgery for a complex ankle fracture—and everything in between.
- Minimally Invasive SurgeryKnee pain has many causes—and innovative treatments. The knee subspecialists at Orlin & Cohen can help you find yours. While our board-certified, fellowship-trained surgeons have extensive expertise in arthroscopic, minimally invasive surgery, as well as knee replacement, we only consider knee surgery if other treatment approaches have not provided pain relief.
- Ankle Surgery
- Joint ReplacementWhen knee surgery is necessary, Orlin & Cohen’s subspecialists are among the leaders in the field of knee surgery: From anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction and meniscus tear repairs to partial and total joint replacement.
- Orthopedic SurgeryAfter tearing my labrum and rotator cuff playing basketball I was left shocked and unsure of what was next. My experience with Orlin and Cohen was amazing. Starting with surgeon Dr. Lieberman, he was very patient and kind and he answered all of my questions, allowing me to tell him how I was really feeling throughout the pre and post surgery process. The physical therapy division is top tier. My physical therapist Olivia was very knowledgeable and created an at home program for me after I was done with my visits. Anthony Morelli, Physical therapy assistant, was who I saw for most of my visits was phenomenal. He was very friendly, professional and put me in the position to succeed with feeling better. He gave me many tips and words of encouragement. The entire staff was very pleasant to work with others such as T’anna, Cedric, Gaston were some of the names I can remember of the entire super friendly staff managed by their director Brian. They worked with me on how to perfect my form when doing the exercises to prevent injury. I would recommend this facility to anyone who needs therapy and or orthopedic surgery.
