Founded in 1972, Minnieville Elementary School is a year-round school that enrolls more than 600 students in prekindergarten through grade five. The school s academic curriculum includes several subjects, such as language arts, social studies, art, music and physical education. It offers several special programs, including environmental impact analysis, English as a Second Language, reading recovery, Head Start and primary education. The school additionally offers a school-age child care program that provides before and after-school child care. It organizes various events, such as book fairs, multicultural spirit wear days and reading nights. The school s parent-teacher association sponsors several events, including family nights, fine arts competitions, fun fairs and the Reflection program. Minnieville Elementary School is governed by Prince William County Public Schools and is located in Woodbridge, Va.
