General Info
Established in 2004. Almita's was born to cater the growing Hispanic population in the Woodbridge area in 2004. We want for our customers to have a great experience with us from the moment they enter to after they leave, starting with a sincere welcome, good service, food and cleanliness. We serve food made to order, and make our meals in our premisses, so you are sure to get something really close to a home cooked meal. We do not use second party providers for our dishes and we also make our own corn tortillas, that makes Almita's different than the rest. We are family owned and run and we are here to serve you the best we can. Come visit us and enjoy a great time.Established in 2004. So we found this little gem kinda by mistake, we were headed next door to the Cigar Shop. I would say the place seems like a house but inside it is very cozy and has some cute decor. They have a full bar maybe lacking some drinks but I am sure locals find what they want and need here. My only complain would be that they don't close late on weekdays, lol. We had taco salad and burritos locos. Both meals had guacamole that tasted fresh and homemade. Margaritas are available too and if you want them frozen they make them on the spot for you Surprisingly good food and much better presentation than the one you find at El Paso or all the other joints. I think thins one is Family Owned.
At first I was a little iffy but I do not regret stopping by! I was greeted right away and sat down at a table. While looking at the menu I saw they had authentic Mexican food, dishes you would typically find in Mexico. I decided to get a Carne Asada which was very good and flavorful. I think the best part of everything was the hand made tortillas which they make themselves. Definitely my new favorite spot for Mexican food
