Winthrop Middle School is a part of Winthrop Public Schools, which operates several elementary, middle and high schools. Winthrop Middle School offers educational services to students in grades six through eight. The school is staffed with a guidance counselor, speech and language therapist, librarian, teachers and custodians. Its academic curriculum includes English, math, science and computer applications. The school also conducts classes in art, drama, music, and physical and health education. Its on-site library operates various book clubs, as well as provides a variety of reading and reference materials. The school offers English as a Second Language and Title I programs.
