Established in 1957, Limerick Avenue Elementary School is a single-track school that provides learning opportunities to students in kindergarten through grade five. Its academic curriculum includes various subjects, such as English, mathematics, reading, writing, social studies and science. The school offers the Gifted and Talented Education program, which provides differentiated instruction for children who perform beyond grade-level standards. It conducts special art classes that include instruction in music, drawing, color mixing, clay printing and sculpturing. The school organizes science fairs. It additionally participates in federal lunch and breakfast programs that provide meals to students. Limerick Avenue Elementary School is a part of the Los Angeles Unified School District and is located in Canoga Park, Calif.
