Winfield School District 34 serves students in prekindergarten through grade eight through its elementary, middle and high schools. Located in Winfield, Ill., the school district has a wide array of support organizations, such as junior woman s club that provides opportunities for education, personal development and community services. It has a library that offers fictions, nonfictions, magazines, newspapers, videos, audio books, tapes, CDs and reference materials. The school district provides summer reading programs for children ages 2 through 14 in summer vacations. Additionally, it offers a young adult program for students in grades seven through 12. Winfield School District 34 also conducts classes in drug abuse resistance education for students in grades five and six. The school district s fire department offers many community-friendly activities, such as visiting the fire station and educating students on their Exit Drills In The Home program to students.
