Founded in 1986, Harpoon Brewery is among the largest producers of beer in the United States. Its breweries are located in Boston, Mass. and Windsor, Vt. The company offers a wide range of beers that are available year round. These include Harpoon IPA, Harpoon Munich Dark, Harpoon Ale, Harpoon Cider, Leviathan and Harpoon Belgian Pale Ale. Harpoon Brewery hosts five major festivals each year; three of which are held in Boston and the remaining two in Vermont. In its 1982-1997 ranking, Modern Brewery Age listed Harpoon Brewery as the nation's 11th largest specialty beer producer. The company operates with more than 90 employees.
