This place is pricey with a single piece of chocolate being $2. The prices are not marked and the girl working did not even know the prices when we asked. We purchased several types, one being a caramel pretzel piece which ended up having stale pretzels in it. If I'm paying $2 per piece of chocolate I would expect it to be fantastic, but this was mediocre at best. I will not be stopping here again.
I've discovered a diamond in our little town of Winchester! Shenandoah Fine Chocolates and the adjoining Chocolate Bar Restaurant, offer exquisitely mouthwatering varieties of chocolate and menu items. The New England clam chowder I had last Thursday was hot & oh so creamy, w/just the right balance of clams and small nuggets of potato. I also had a delicious glass of Coco Rosso, a smooth chocolate red wine. Next door is the smorgasbord of just about any chocolate confection one can imagine-all handmade. My personal favorites are the dark choc.-covered maple creams, the sea salt or black salt caramels, in milk or dark; white choc-covered pretzels & white chocolate toffee; and the best: white chocolate non-pareils w/sprinkled on the bottom.
Either place you go, you're guaranteed to find something to not only satisfy your palate, but send it into overdrive!
