Admiral Richard E. Byrd Middle School serves more than 800 students in grades six through eight. The school has a library that offers access to a variety of books and magazines. It provides classes in math, science, social studies and language arts. Admiral Richard E. Byrd Middle School also operates a builder's club. The school provides opportunities to participate in several student organizations, such as the Future Farmers of America and the Future Business Leaders of America. In addition, it manages a parent-teacher-student organization. The school offers guidance counseling and health care services. It provides programs in physical education, French and Spanish. The school administers the English as a Second Language program. It organizes sports activities, including football, basketball, cheerleading and cross-country. Admiral Richard E.
