I brought my car to Cobra Transmissions after a national chain repair shop in Lexington, KY failed twice to repair the transmission on my automobile. Randy and his technicians were professional, friendly and performed quality work. Four years later, I have not had a single transmission problem. I am highly disappointed with the service I got. Knowing I had a transmission issue in my car, I had taken it in to see if they could help. I had told them that it should just be a bad sensor and it just needs to be replaced. They checked it out at first and told me they have no idea, but if the check engine light comes back on (it had been off for 3 days), to bring it back. Three hours later the light comes on. I took it back a couple days later to drop it off and they said they would call me when they are done, after 5 hours I finally call they tell me that my clutch needs to be replaced (I drive and automatic) and it would cost $2,000. I was able to find out the code that was showing up. All the info I found stated it was in fact a sensor. I feel taken advantage of simply because I am a younger female. My car has since had the sensor replaced and thoroughly checked to make sure there was no other problems (which there wasn't).
